Strength in Darkness

I cannot see the path ahead; it's so dark. Turn to the right, there could be a narrow ledge on which I teeter.

Turn left, there could be dark hungry things in the shadows. Do I trudge forward? Or will forward bring me to a trail that looks solid but is quicksand, gripping, sucking me under?

Acronym for strength in darkness

Hidden here are perils, tests, and even age-old hungry monsters that patiently hope I’ll come walking past. Even though it’s pitch black here, my soul gives me strength in darkness. I know there are dangers, monsters, and demons, but I have crawled out of canyons, fought monsters, slayed demons, pulled myself back from the ledge, run into dead ends, and been impaled by obstacles. Yes, it’s dark and I don’t know which way to go yet, but I know that I have fought and won before; therefore, I can do it again. Every battle or obstacle teaches me something. Every dead end is an opportunity to turn around and try a different route. Magic lay within the earthen floor of life's labyrinth bringing me back to life for new beginnings, and I've been reborn many times.

Perhaps it's not just cats who have 9 lives but those who press on with G.reat R.esolove I.n T.rial.

Sometimes the obstacles are at the beginning of the path, so we choose the one that looks easier only to encounter obstacles later. The truth is that no matter which direction we choose, there will be hidden perils, no path is exempt. It is through the perils, tests, trials, tribulations, and dark moments we develop the inner resilience of strength in darkness and the courage to face obstacles and emerge victorious.
